As followers of Christ, we are called to discern and resist these deceptive influences. The spirit of lies seeks to distort truth, sow confusion, and undermine God's purposes. Our defense lies in seeking God's wisdom, relying on Scripture, and walking in the light of Christ.
May we remain vigilant, anchored in truth, and guided by the Holy Spirit.

The beast emerging from the earth serves as a counterfeit of Jesus, the only begotten Son, who was sent to declare His Father’s glory and herald the establishment of His Kingdom. In stark contrast, this beast is the son of the dragon; dispatched to promote the worship of the first beast, the accuser and rebel who was cast down to the sea and the earth, whose deadly wound was healed.
This second beast dons the guise of the two horns of a lamb, attempting to masquerade as Christ; however, it cannot fully conceal its true nature, which is betrayed by its dragon-like speech. Consequently, it is recognized as the Antichrist, the son of perdition. Its mission is to deceive, leading many astray by maliciously imitating the lamb of God while pursuing a dark and destructive agenda.
By presenting itself as a lamb but speaking like a dragon, the second beast represents the ultimate false prophet, embodying deception and betrayal at the highest levels.
The term "son of perdition" really emphasizes the gravity of its role and fate.
